I am a social scientist interested in the study of work and organization in the contexts of public administration and political collective action. My research examines how people organize and work towards social change—through public policy, public administration, or community organizing—in complex and sometimes hostile environments. I do ethnographic research in public and political organizations.

I am currently an assistant professor at the Public Administration Division of the Center for Economics Research and Teaching (CIDE) in Mexico City. I co-organize the Ethnography Atelier, a collaborative space that promotes ethnographic and other qualitative research in work and organizations.
